Welcome to my blog! I am happy that you found me. My name is Randy Green. I am an American but I have lived in China since 2004.
Who am I? After many years spent in search of meaning and meaningful employment and good fishing spots, Missouri native Randy Green received a life-changing invitation in 2003 to come to China and teach English to university students there. In accepting that invitation, he committed himself to a life both satisfying and mystifying. When an independent, direct actionist American meets China’s 5,000-year-old collectivist culture, it can get interesting. The result is China Bound, a narrative of the adventures, observations, and reflections in the first months after his arrival.

Hollo Randy, nice to meet you again.There is a problem encountered with me—you know, the life in university is full of all kinds of activities ,and it is the problem that I m meeting.There will hold an activity imitating Hanban selection process, which exerts a tremendous fanscination on me.But what prevents me from making an clear decision is that I face the CET 4 in the next month.Though I think my English was not so poor,for that I have gotten an pretty grade of 138 in the College Entrance Examination,I’m worried about that I will spend much time on preparing the competition so that it effcts my CET.It’s hard for me to make a decision ,thus ,I wander your idea concerning it ,thank you for you time .
Glad to meet you.I find a new perspective to feel this familiar and unfamiliar chongqing by your story. Looking forward more funny story about your life.
Yes, you are right! That is the Henan Museum in the background of the photo. This is a world-class museum. I was an English teacher at Zhengzhou University for 11 years before I fled south to the milder winters of CQ. My book, China Bound, is about my experiences at ZZU in the first months after I arrived. Hope the book will be released in the coming months.
