About Me

Welcome to my blog! I am happy that you found me. My name is Randy Green. I am an American but I have lived in China since 2004.

Who am I?
After many years spent in search of meaning and meaningful employment and good fishing spots, Missouri native Randy Green received a life-changing invitation in 2003 to come to China and teach English to university students there. In accepting that invitation, he committed himself to a life both satisfying and mystifying. When an independent, direct actionist American meets China’s 5,000-year-old collectivist culture, it can get interesting. The result is China Bound, a narrative of the adventures, observations, and reflections in the first months after his arrival.

My books China Bound and Chester the Messer are online and available on Amazon.com. You can get China Bound at the price of only $4.99.
